I fell in love with photography in my early teens after my dad handed down his 1970’s Nikon F1 camera (which I still have). With a natural curiosity and a drive to learn, I used this rugged film camera to dive into the world of photography. I had to use manual settings, load film and try and take the best pictures I could, each time I snapped a frame.

As a musican in Orange County for the last 20+ years, my photography moved on to taking band photos and shooting live performances. This taught me valuable lessons in quickly identifying a great photo, while also getting used the challenging lighting and movement on stage. I found out quickly that people are so fascinating in photographs Peoples joy, their excitement and their happiness … you can see it all in a photograph and I feed off capturing these amazing moments.

I have lived in Orange County for over 30 years and, despite the traffic, am still in love with Southern California. Home base currently is Irvine, California but love taking photographs south in San Diego, north in Los Angeles or anywhere else a fun photoshoot will take me.
